HVI Screenings
Vascular Screenings checks for obstacles in your veins that are preventing them from doing their job. This includes plaque buildup, blockages or aneurysms. These issues can cause heart attacks and strokes. A vascular screening can catch these problems before they become serious. These tests are painless and easy.
• Body Mass Index (BMI) is a person's weight in kilograms (or pounds) divided by the square of height in meters (or feet). A high BMI can indicate high body fatness. BMI screens for weight categories that may lead to health problems, but it does not diagnose the body fatness or health of an individual. • Blood Pressure Test measures the pressure in the arteries as the heart pumps. A blood pressure test may be done as a part of a routine health checkup or as a screening for high blood pressure (hypertension).
Renal Kidney Function Screening A test in which blood or urine samples are checked for the amounts of certain substances released by the kidneys. A higher- or lower-than-normal amount of a substance can be a sign that the kidneys are not working the way they should. Also called renal function test.
Pelvic Exam concentrates on the health of vagina and pelvis
Pap Smear looks for abnormal cell changes that may potentially lead to cervical cancer
Pulmonary function tests (PFTs) are noninvasive tests that show how well the lungs are working. The tests measure lung volume, capacity, rates of flow, and gas exchange.
Multiple Myeloma is a cancer that forms in a type of white blood cell called a plasma cell.
Mammogram is an X-ray picture of the breast. Doctors use a mammogram to look for early signs of breast cancer. Regular mammograms can find breast cancer early, sometimes up to three years before it can be felt.
Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Blood Test
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is a serine protease secreted exclusively by prostate epithelial cells. PSA measurement was shown to enhance early detection of prostate cancer. PSA alone, or combined with a digital rectal exam (DRE), have been used for early detection of prostate cancer.
Digital Rectal Exam (DRE)
For a (DRE), the doctor inserts a gloved, lubricated finger into the rectum to feel for any bumps or hard areas on the prostate that might be cancer. Prostate cancers often begin in the back part of the gland, and can sometimes be felt during a rectal exam. This exam usually isn't painful and only takes a short time. DRE can sometimes find cancers in men with normal PSA levels. For this reason, it should be included as a part of prostate cancer screening.
